The primary purpose of the Director, Business Communications role is to lead Zebra's executive and employee communications function, supporting the voice of executive leadership to build their internal brands, while representing the voice of Zebra employees to drive engagement. This role will develop and execute on messaging platform to drive employee understanding of corporate strategy and support key corporate initiatives through effective and aligned communications. This role will create and execute a highly effective executive communication strategy for the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) that engages employees through creative methods and channels. Additionally, this role will craft and deliver messaging with a compelling corporate narrative that inspires employees, aligned with Zebra's employer brand, as well as drive corporate culture through highly effective employee engagement programs that leads to them believing in Zebra's purpose. Responsibilities Leads development of messaging platform aligned with corporate strategy and culture Influences and supports senior executives in connecting with employees and delivering aligned corporate messaging that drives understanding and execution of Zebra's strategy. Rally employees globally to embrace Zebra's mission while serving as brand ambassadors. Has a strong perspective on organizational culture. Drives and influences initiatives for promoting culture and managing change. Develops unique content that highlights the brand promise and company strategy, increasing employee knowledge and impact across the business. Implements industry best practices to elevate and transform communications practice. Develops new and creative methods for delivering messages, connecting with employees, and elevates executives' brands. Creates formal and informal moments where employees receive key messages in a way that drives understanding, engagement, and ambassadorship. Connects all business functions with aligned communications by developing and executing coordinated, enterprise-wide communications plans for leaders of key functions. Ensures communications are highly inclusive and relevant globally across employee base Leads communication of acquisitions to employees at Zebra and acquired company. Serves as the communications lead for CEO, advising on strategic communications planning and execution Partners with key stakeholders on issues monitoring to help identify and mitigate risks; help protect employer brand reputation. Leads corporate intranet strategy in partnership with IT. Partners with colleagues in external and partner communications to ensure aligned strategies and messaging. Develops communications measurement, including dashboards and reports Develops and leads team of employees and executive communicators Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in relevant field 15
years of communications experience in leadership roles, preferably with B2B, technology or channel-relevant organizations with proven ability to effectively partner with C-suite executives Other Skills and Competencies:
Demonstrated experience in the development of communications strategies, plans and messaging with deep commitment to quality and detail. Experience in supporting executive leaders, specifically in designing and executing communications plans to help them achieve corporate goals and effectively engage employees Exemplary communications skills (written, oral, and visual) including strong copywriting and editing skills Strong leadership skills required - - creative, self-driven, resourceful, and able to influence Organized and personable with proven ability to work with and manage conflict with multiple stakeholders and teams in a global organization Proven ability to balance competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced business environment Maintains industry awareness or trends and issues and proactively anticipate needs and take decisive action Demonstrated ability to identify, develop and implement process improvements. Experience in leading strategic initiatives to mature and advance our communications practice Ability to develop the skills of a team and promote a service mentality High integrity and accountability Ability to work effectively with global teams across diverse cultures and geographies Results-oriented, with a discipline of measurement and improvement. Strong relationship management skills with internal clients (e.g., senior management, peers, and colleagues); proven ability to develop creative and collaborative approaches.
Salary Range:
$250K -- $500K+
Minimum Qualification
Business DevelopmentEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
