Job IntroductionThe goal of HydraForce's internship program is to develop future engineering resources for our organization while providing support to our Supplier Quality Engineering team.
We structure the engineering internship to allow candidates the opportunity to develop knowledge and skill-sets unique to our industry.
Project tasks reflect an increasing level of technical complexity based on demonstrated proficiency and success on prior assignments.
Although there is no guarantee of employment, it is our goal to have our interns fully capable of stepping into an entry-level engineering position upon graduationMain ResponsibilitiesCreate Value Stream Maps and then create projects to lean out processClean, merge and analyze data from multiple data sourcesCreate databases to house past and future dataUse tools and techniques from Six Sigma, Lean, to analyze and solve problemsAssist in continuous improvement projectsDay to day support activities but not limited to inspection, sorting, problem investigations, and PPAP approvalsAssist in non-conforming material reports and analysisCreate and modify existing systems that track our metricsCreate, improve on documentation such as control plans, FMEAs, WI, and process flowsThe Ideal CandidateAdvanced Excel skills; Power Bi, MinitabCommitted to an engineering college undergraduate programCoursework and/or experience in setting up databases, SPC, data collectionCoursework and/or experience in statistical analysis, lean toolsCoursework and/or experience in measurement systemsBasic experience in 3D modeling; Understanding of GD&TWorking knowledge of problem solving techniques and FMEAsGreat written and verbal communication and interpersonal skillsAble to work independently as well as in a team environmentMajors Desired:
