Job Description:
As an Amendment Return Analyst, you will assist our clients throughout the reconciliation and filing process for amendments.
Key responsibilities include:
-Serving as subject matter expert for setting up and maintaining SOPs related to employment tax amendments.
-Researching and documenting SOP defects, resolving unexpected errors, and addressing changes in agency processes.
-Identifying and resolving complex amendment issues, emphasizing patterns, trends, and root cause analysis.
-Driving process improvements and communicating effectively with internal partners to solve tax-related issues.
-Identifying potential service delivery issues and contributing to process enhancement.
-Escalating client non-compliance and supporting global sourcing and supplier partnerships.
-Assisting in formal internal and external audits and investigating regulatory and compliance issues.
-Supporting testing and maintenance of tax filing software, such as MasterTax.
-Handling all aspects of payroll tax activities, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, and filing amended tax returns.
-Conducting peer review audits of amended returns before mailing.
-Driving change for process improvements and supporting the overall monthly process of amended returns.
-Conducting reconciliations from source payroll system reports to tax filing software and employing analytical and independent problem-solving skills.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
