Description: The Benefits Calculation Administrator is responsible for completing manual pension calculations using a Microsoft Excel based tool and data from a benefit administrative system . There is a strong emphasis on quality and timeliness of work performed.

Responsibility Areas
- Review business requirements, plan provisions, and data sources to calculate participant benefits with the aid of a calculation workbook.

Knowledge and Experience

- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent research, computation, and analysis skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Experience with data mining and interpreting results.
- Skilled at properly researching, identifying, and documenting issues.
- Effective working in a team environment.

Formal Education & Certification
- Bachelor's degree (with concentrations in Math, Actuarial Science, Finance or business context preferred) or equivalent work experience required.

Work Conditions
- Occasional evening and weekend work to meet deadlines.
- Frequent
computer
use at workstation up to 2 hours at a time or for extended periods of time.
- Access information using a computer and related components and peripherals.
- Participation in training sessions and meetings.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
