ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
1. Maintain a basic understanding of a related topics including chapter bylaws, incorporation, surveys, antitrust, tax returns, chapter compliance, insurance, etc.
2. Regularly review areas of the website relating to leadership, chapters, historical information, etc. Coordinates necessary updates with Web team.
3. Assists with the annual nominations/elections process and related communications.
4. Coordinate details surrounding various special events held in conjunction with the Annual Conference & Exposition.
5. Assist in preparing and monitoring various budget line items.
6. Maintain related internal and external leadership related files.
7. Develop, revise and distribute various reference materials for use by volunteer leaders.
8. Facilitate the flow of information among chapters and headquarters staff, regional representatives and the Board of Directors.
9. Assist with the preparation and planning for various leadership meetings.
10. Provide general administrative support as necessary.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
1. Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills with ability to act independently to draft correspondence and communications, format documents and design spreadsheets. This is normally acquired through a Bachelor s degree in communications, education, or related field and/or five or more years experience as an administrative professional.
2. Must possess a positive, team-player attitude. Strong interpersonal skills needed to handle sensitive and confidential situations, follow instructions effectively and provide accurate information with courtesy and tact. Must have a customer service approach to provide a good impression of the Association via telephone, electronic communication and in person.
3. High computer literacy, with advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat. Willingness and ability to learn new software applications. Database management experience, preferably with iMIS and MS Access.
4. Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects successfully in a generalist environment, working with minimal supervision, and completing projects to meet tight deadlines. Experience with complex project coordination required.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
1. Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like.
2. High volumes of work with tight deadlines.
3. Ability to retrieve and distribute files, written documents or office supplies weighing up to 25 lbs. and to retrieve and replace objects from shelves up to 8 feet high.
4. Intermittent, and on occasion prolonged physical activity including standing, walking, bending, reaching and long periods of sitting.
5. Work occasionally requires more than 37.5 hours per week to perform essential duties of the position. Some travel may be required.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
