Windows and VMware Architect

Prestigious Enterprise Organization is seeking a Windows and Vmware Architect to design, deploy and support technologies in the Windows Server and VMware verticals. A deep and thorough understanding of the design and management of Active Directory, inclusive of its architecture, group policies, site and connection objects, as well as management via PowerShell are absolute requirements. In addition to Microsoft server operating systems, the candidate should be well versed in the configuration, support and backup strategies of VMware. The individual will be required to perform scheduled after hours support and assist with Level 2 escalations as part of a rotation.

  • Ad Hoc requests

o Windows Server 2008 & 2012 Operating System

  • Support and Performance Troubleshooting

o VMware

  • Configuration
  • Deployment/Upgrades
  • Troubleshooting & Performance Analysis

o Veeam Backup and Replication

  • Backup to Disk Processing
  • Offsite Replication
  • Veeam One Monitoring and Reporting

o System Center Operations Manager

  • MP Authoring
  • MP Tuning

o Common Server Services such as TCP/IP, DNS, Backup and Recovery

o Microsoft Azure Site Recovery or Virtual Deployments


  • Must be a self-starter demonstrating the willingness to address/resolve ambiguity and conflict within complex business change projects.
  • Promote and follow prescribed project management guidelines for projects
  • Maintain documentation for all operational/support processes for the systems supported by the Platform Team; automate repetitive processes where appropriate
  • Define/refine sustainable, relevant metrics that demonstrate system availability, transaction/work throughput, business benefits achieved, and/or quality improvement
  • Stay current with new technologies and techniques as appropriate


  • BS/BA in Computer Science, Business Administration or related field or the equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 7 to 10 years of related work experience including solid exposure to enterprise architecture
  • Exemplary, demonstrated self-starting skills
  • Expert level knowledge of applications and systems development tools and methods.
  • Strong oral and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate at different levels of the organization
  • Experience in managing and leading virtual, cross-functional teams including requirements definition, design documentation, project plans and solution delivery

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
