Keys to this Role:
140 remote, ESX, 560 Windows, 50 ESX hosts, 750 VMWare, design, engineer and support.
PowerShell Scripting, VEEM, Active Directory, any SCOM and networking is a plus.
Who you are
This position will work with the corporate Platform Engineering Team to design, deploy and support technologies in the Windows Server and VMware verticals.
A deep and thorough understanding of the design and management of Active Directory, inclusive of its architecture, group policies, site and connection objects, as well as management via PowerShell are absolute requirements.
In addition to Microsoft server operating systems, the candidate should be well versed in the configuration, support and backup strategies of VMware.
The individual will be required to perform scheduled after hours support and assist with Level 2 escalations as part of a rotation.

o Common Server Services such as TCP/IP, DNS, Backup and Recovery
o Microsoft Azure Site Recovery or Virtual Deployments
- Must be a self-starter demonstrating the willingness to address/resolve ambiguity and conflict within complex business change projects.
- Promote and follow prescribed project management guidelines for COMPANY projects
- Maintain documentation for all operational/support processes for the systems supported by the Platform Team; automate repetitive processes where appropriate
- Define/refine sustainable, relevant metrics that demonstrate system availability, transaction/work throughput, business benefits achieved, and/or quality improvement
- Stay current with new technologies and techniques as appropriate
BS/BA in Computer Science, Business Administration or related field or the equivalent work experience.
Minimum 7 to 10 years of related work experience including solid exposure to enterprise architecture
Exemplary, demonstrated self-starting skills
Expert level knowledge of applications and systems development tools and methods.
Strong oral and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate at different levels of the organization
Experience in managing and leading virtual, cross-functional teams including requirements definition, design documentation, project plans and solution delivery
